About this role

A rare permanent role with school holidays paid at a community preschool near the beach. Cert III and Diploma educators are both welcome, and study towards a Diploma is actively supported. Pay: $36 to $42 per hour.

About the centre

A community preschool near the beach at Henley Beach where staff are paid across school holidays, not just term time. It is a true community service: parent involvement is high, the program is play-based and joyful, and the team supports each other properly.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside the teacher to deliver a play-based preschool program
• Support children's routines, learning and wellbeing
• Contribute to observations and documentation
• Help set up engaging indoor and outdoor learning spaces
• Join a friendly, community-minded team

What you'll need

• Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Genuine warmth and a love of working with preschool children
• Understanding of the EYLF and play-based practice (Cert III study of it is fine)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Reliability and a positive team attitude
